About our online classes

In response to COVID-19, we have moved all of our exercise classes online!  Keep the connection, keep moving, promote calm.

These holistic exercise and education classes have been designed by expert pelvic health physiotherapists and an exercise scientist to assist and empower women to gain confidence in their bodies and return to full strength and fitness safely. We understand the impact pregnancy and birth have on the body and how to best support you in healing.

The intention of these classes are to provide you with the knowledge and techniques you need to care for your body during pregnancy and after birth. We know the important tips, tricks, and techniques to stay healthy, strong and safe during pregnancy, and recover faster after birth without leaks, pain or pressure into the pelvis.

Each class will be individually thought out with medically proven exercises focusing on alignment, core strength, mobility and relaxation.

Classes will benefit clients with abdominal muscle separation, prolapse, pain and other pelvic health problems.  They will teach safe functional movement.

Each person must book in for a 1:1 individual assessment before starting the classes.  This is so that we can taylor the class to exactly what you need. During the 60 minute appointment your therapist will complete a full medical history, assess your risk factors for exercise, any bladder or bowel concerns, the strength and function of your pelvic floor, any pelvic organ prolapse, the abdominal wall function and how your body works as a system when you move.  We can then adjust, regress or progress your exercises to ensure you get the optimal outcome from the classes in a pelvic floor safe way.

Frequently asked questions

Before attending the pregnancy class we recommend you attend a 1 on 1 consult with one of our therapists to assess the pelvic girdle or back pain. That way we can tailor the class and exercises to your needs.

Yes it is possible to bring your baby to the postnatal classes if they are young enough that they are not crawling or walking yet. You are more than welcome to attend to your baby throughout the class. Babies are always welcome and we will accommodate your needs, however, we find mum’s relax more and enjoy the experience if they can focus on themselves.

Our instructors are trained pelvic health physiotherapists and exercise scientists. We ensure you attend a screening session with us before the classes begin that way we have an understanding of your prolapse and can adapt the exercises as needed.

Yes! The classes are a mix of yoga, pilate’s, and general strengthening exercises. Because you would have had your initial assessment with us we will understand the level you are at and can adapt the exercises as needed.

Diastasis (tummy muscle separation) is a condition our therapists treat regularly. It is all about getting the system to work as a whole and in the correct alignment. Our classes are tailored to support anyone with a diastasis and will give you the needed tools to support it across the lifespan.

Our therapists have backgrounds in exercise prescription and sports science and will work with you to create a one on one exercise program that is tailored to your needs.
